What Nell does
Buying, tasting and the Collingwood bar.
Nell started Lowfield in 2015 with a second-hand 5 kg roaster and a corner of a Collingwood warehouse. She still cups every new green lot with the roasting team, writes the purchasing plan each year and decides which coffee goes on bar at the Collingwood café. She came to coffee from a hospitality management career and still works a bar shift every couple of weeks.
For wholesale customers, Nell is the person who decides which coffees stay on the list. If you want a single origin for a guest grinder, she and Theo choose it with you at a cupping.
